Small Business of the Month
The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce monthly recognizes small businesses for extraordinary success within the company and the community. Awarded businesses also become eligible to receive the Small Business of the Year recognition awarded each year at the Annual Meeting.
Award Criteria:
- Business must be for-profit
- Business must be located in the greater Athens area
- Business must have no more than 50 full-time employees
- Business must have been operational for at least 3 years
- Business must be a member of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce
Additional factors considered when selecting recipients include community leadership, corporate citizenship, growth and financial continuity, market/industry leadership, and response to adversity.
